Henry Harmon Tygart, 47, of Williamson, died Saturday night in a Williamson hospital. Born Feb 2, 1922, he was a son of Mrs Mary Lou Blankenship Tygart of Tulsa, Okla., and the late Henry H Tygart. He was employed as a car repairman for the Norfolk and Western Railway. A member of the Wesleyan Chapel at Williamson and Williamson Lodge 101 F & AM, he was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of the V F W and the American Legion. He coached the Babe Ruth Kiwanis Club baseball team at Williamson for several years.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs Jean Tygart; a son, Ronny Tygart in the service; a daughter, Gloria Jean Tygart at home; two sisters, Mrs Francis Kernan of Denver, Colo., and Mrs Helen Charles of Williamson, and 11 brothers, Harold, Leonard, Clifford, John and Nelson Tygart, all in California, Vincent, Daryl and Larry Tygart, all of Tulsa, William Tygart of Denver, Kenneth Tygart in Connecticut and Robert Tygart in Las Vegas, Nev.
The body is at the Allen Funeral Home at Williamson where friends may call after 1 PM today.
Funeral services for Henry Harmon Tygart, well-known resident of Lick Creek, who died Saturday in the Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack, will be conducted tomorrow at 2 PM from the Wesleyan Pilgrim Holiness Church in East Williamson with the Rev Eugene White officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt View Memory Garden at Maher with the Allen Funeral Home in charge.
Williamson Lodge 101 of the Masons will accord graveside rites.
All Master Masons of the Williamson Lodge are asked to be at the Masonic Temple on Logan Street at 1 PM tomorrow.
