James Hopson "Jimmy" Patterson; 59 a resident of Wetumpka, AL died Sunday, December 26, 2010 in a local hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sylvia Patterson; children, Samantha (Joseph) Curvin, Wendy (Robert) Mims, and Tracy (Donnie) Boswell; his mother, Doris Patterson; brothers, Ricky (Jeanette) Patterson and Ronald "Sonny" Patterson; sister Judy (Fred) Grant; grandchildren, Jeffrey Curvin, Katie Lockhart, Joshua Curvin, Karissa Porter, Kerry Porter, Steven Warlick, Ashley Cooley, Scott Boswell, and Houston Boswell, and a great grandchild, Emma Cooley.

Jimmy was a Sons of Confederate Veteran Commander of Camp 2130, "Coosa Cavalry" in Rockford, AL along with #714 in SCV-Mechanized Cavalry.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gassett Funeral Home, followed by cremation.

He was cremated.
