Cashius L. Bowen, son of the late W.T. and Clarinda Ann (McMillian) Bowen, born at Gardnersville, Pendleton County, April 3, 1894 and departed this life Sept. 9, 1978.
He was married to Lauretta Powers, Sept. 10, 1911. She preceeded him in death in June 1975. Two children were born to them. Maudie Marie, who died March 13, 1956 and Thomas Rudolph who died May 25, 1937.
He spent the greater part of his married life in Covington as a self employed carpenter. since his retirement he took great pride raising back yard gardens of vegetables and flowers.
He leaves a grandson, Thomas Lyle Vance, his wife Brenda and two grandchildren, James Lyle and Jeffrey Thomas Vance. Other survivors are brothers, Ray Bowen and L.E. Bowen of DeMossville; John W. Bowen of Ft. Wright, and sisters, Rose, Lula mae and Genevieve Bowen all of Ft. Wright.
Funeral services were held at Swindler Funeral Home, Latonia, Tuesday. Bro. Robert Montgomery beautifully sang "How Great Thou Art" and "He Giveth More Grace". Bro Galen C. Call brought a comforting message.
Casket bearers were nephews: Melvin, Goerge and Randall Bowen, Edward Beebe, Keith Johnson, and Arnold E. Ross.
Burial at Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
