DUNCAN — Oct. 29, 1914 — March 4, 2011
Frances Clark, 96, of Duncan, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, March 4, 2011, in the Country Club Care Center.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Duncan City Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Services are under direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Frances was born Oct. 29, 1914, at Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Alfard S. and Pearl Burgess Bryan. She lived her life for her family, always there to encourage, support and love through all circumstances of life.
Having spent her early years as an office nurse for her brother Dr. George Bryan in Duncan, she learned the skills and compassion she would need to see her through the loss of three loving husbands and the nurturing care of each of their families in their absence. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her listening heart and caring compassion for everyone she met who was hurting or in need.
She loved playing Bridge and Dominos, reading, and was a wonderful cook. She especially loved her Lord in her final days, entrusting all her loved ones to Him, knowing they would be in good hands in her absence.
She was preceded by husbands: Dr. Dean Spencer, Lawrence Haas and Clyde Clark; her parents; two sisters: June and Doris; one brother, Dr. George Bryan; and a grandson, Ty Cox.
She is survived by three daughters: Lauren Dixon of Duncan, Kathy (Haas) Brooks and her husband Hardy of Duncan, and Susie (Haas) Quiggins of Whitney, Texas; a son, Bryan Dean Spencer of New Mexico; a sister, Margaret Ann Riddle of Missouri; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Dr. Susie Bryan of Duncan.
