Mrs. Virginia Davis Bell passed away September 27 at Holly, Colo., where she was visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harve Adamson.

Funeral services were held from the Wilson Chapel in Monroe City, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Mr. McArthur of Quincy, Ill., officiated and interment was at Stoutsville. Pall bearers were Bryan Crow, L. B. Seacy, B. L. Dye, Jim McCreery and Orville Hawn.

Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. E. C. Davis, she was born in Hunnewell, October 27, 1865. On March 29, 1891, she was married to Dr. W. T. Bell of Stoutsville. They had made their home there until Dr. Bell's death January 17, 1935.

Mrs. Bell was an active member of the Stoutsville Baptist Church for many years.

Three children survive, Lester H. Bell, of Lexington, Mo., Herman W. Bell of Quincy, Il., and Mrs. Murline Adamson of Holly, Colo., also a brother, H. C. Davis, of Lamar, Colo., five sisters, Miss Susie Davis of Hunnewell, Mrs. Fletcher Blanford of Irvington, Ky., Mrs. Effie Randolph and Mrs. Dixie Gould of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Alice McAtee of Dinuba, Calif., and 12 grandchildren. A niece, Mrs. J. C. Maupin, Sr., and a nephew, John H. Cox, survive also.

Preceding Mrs. Bell in death were three children, Leland, Russell and Maureen, a brother, John Davis, of Hunnewell, and two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Cox of Clarence and Mrs. Myrta Pollard of Lamar, Colo.
