Charles F. Carrell, 69, of Flora, IL formerly of Wilmington, IL died at 10:28 PM Friday, March 4, 2001, at his home in Flora.

He was born August 30, 1941 in Xenia, IL to Everett and Helen (Akes) Carrell.

He married Donna Hemphill in 1963 in Flora. She preceded him in death in 1991. He later married Judy Caldwell on September 7, 1996 in Wilmington, IL.

He was employed for 34 years at Caterpillar Tractor Inc. in Joliet, IL, was a past Xenia Councilman from 1999-2002, and was a member of Xenia Christian Church. Charlie was best known for his great sense of humor and love for his family. He enjoyed his vehicles and had a fondness of classic trucks.

He is survived by his wife: Judy Carrell; children: Shannon Carrell, Tracy Beasley, Pamela Shelton, Laney McWilliams; sisters: Imogene Wyman, Ruth Phillips; brother: Bill Akes of Olney; twelve grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Donna), two brothers (Jack & Don Carrell).

A memorial service was held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with visiation until time of service.
