Jeffrey C. Relitz, 48, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Royer-Hays Funeral Home-Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., preceding the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Royer-Hays Funeral Home, 205 Southwest 17th Street, Blue Springs, MO, to help family with expenses. Jeffrey did not have any insurance.

You may also consider contributions to US Troop Support Foundation in memory of Jeff, USTSF, PO BOX 782, Blue Springs, MO 64013.

Jeffrey was born October 21, 1962, in Saline, MI, to Norman C. and Rosemary (Robinson) Relitz. He proudly served our country in the US Army and worked much of his life in the Security Field. On June 4, 1983, Jeffrey married the love of his life Linda (Hudson) Relitz.

He was preceded in death by his father: Norman C. Relitz.

His survivors include his wife of 27 1/2 years: Linda Relitz of the home; one daughter: Jennifer L. Perry of Grain Valley, MO; one son: SSG Joshua T. Perry-USMC Camp LeJeune, NC; his mother: Rosemary Relitz of Clinton, MI; two brothers: Brian Relitz and Scott Relitz; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey C. Relitz, age 48, of Blue Springs, Mo., formerly of Clinton, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011.

He was born in Clinton, Mich., on Oct. 21, 1962, the son of Norman and Rosemary (Robinson) Relitz. He was married to Linda Perry and she survives.

Jeffrey was a 1980 graduate of Clinton High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Jennifer and Joshua; his mother, Rosemary Relitz of Clinton; two brothers, Brian (Melanie) Relitz of Saline and Scott (Deborah) Relitz of Marshall, Wis.; several aunts and uncles as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman, brother, Mark, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

At his request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Clinton United Methodist Church with Pastor Faye McKinstry officiating. Inurnment of his cremated remains will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Clinton.
