Friday morning the remains of Wallace Bennett of Tolu, who lost his life in the lamentable river disaster of last week (Steamer City of Golconda Sinks four miles above Paducah) were brought to this city and laid to rest in the new cemetery.
The body was recovered from the wreck Thursday morning and taken to Tolu, Mr. Bennett's home.
Wallace was on his way to Paducah to buy household good when he lost his life.
He was the son of Mr. Judson Bennett. A young wife and baby mourn the untimely death.
