Lieutenant George Brownell, the son of Thomas Brownell and Mary Thurston, born in Little Compton 19 Jan 1685, died in Westport Harbour, Mass., 22 Sept. 1756 age 72 yrs.
He married first in Little Compton, 6 July 1706, Mary Thurston. He married second Comfort Taylor. They lived on what was later the Barker Peckham place at the four corners near Westport Harbour landing.
His will was made 10 Sept. 1756 and proved 5 Oct. 1756. George and Mary Thurston had the following children:
