OBITUARY, Published Sunday, August 24, 2003 in the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia.
.....ROCK – Mildred Geraldine Taylor Hill Fitzko, 85, of Rt. 2, Box 84, Rock, died Friday, August 22, 2003 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield.
...Born October 18, 1917 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late Isaiah Hill and Mary Harman Hill.
...Mrs. Fitzko had been a life-long resident of Montcalm and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Montcalm Church of Christ and attended the Pine Grove Church of Christ.
...In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Eldridge Taylor; her second husband, Mike Fitzko; brothers, Bill, Leonard, Frank, Ed, Ivan and Severt Hill; and a granddaughter, Marcella Spaulding.
...Survivors include daughters, Ruth Ann Greer of Martinsville, Va. and Linda Lilly of Rock; sons, Jerry Taylor of Rock, Lonnie Taylor of Princeton, Johnny Taylor of Falls Mills, Va. and James E. Taylor of Montcalm; sisters, Loessie Doss of Rt. 3, Bluefield, Ruby Richardson of Rt. 3, Bluefield, and Mary Moody of Portsmouth, Va.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
...Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Jack Johnson officiating.
...Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Courthouse Road in Princeton where grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
...The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
...Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the Fitzko family.
