Born May 26, 1924 at West Point, New York, he graduated from the United States Military Academy with the class of 1946.
He is also survived by his sons, Calvert, Charles, Craig, and Lance, and their wives, Kim, Janet, Diohn, and Renata, and his daughter, Gene Asmuth, and her husband, Peter, and eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
A memorial service will be held in All Saints Episcopal Church, 3 Chevy Chase Circle, Chevy Chase, MD, on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:30 p.m., with a private burial service at West Point, NY.
