Phillip Wayne Calebaugh,Sr., 92 of Elizabeth, WV, passed away July 2, 2010 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home of Parkersburg, WV.
He was born July 9, 1917, in Cherry, Wirt County, WV the son of the late Madison and Lena (Allen) Calebaugh. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's. He drove truck for Huffman Trucking hauling gasoline for over 42 years and worked at Ravens Metal as a Night Watchman.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering with motors, boating and water skiing when he was younger.
He is survived by three daughters; Barbara, Phyllis and Pamela; one son, Phillip Wayne Calebaugh Jr. One sister, Lucille Bernotwicz. and one nephew, Bob Calebaugh he loved like a brother; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elouise Goff Calebaugh; one daughter Deanna Sue Jones Two brothers, Turner and John Calebaugh; ten sisters Nancy Thorne, Ann Snyder, Virginia Stoer, Kate Mills, Rebecca Calebaugh, Louellen Ward, Georgia Gibbs, Billie Sweet, Dorothy Gibbs and Margarette Justice and three sons-in-laws John W. Cottrell, Jr., Howard Leroy JonesSr. and Raymond Easton.
Services were Tuesday July 6, 2010 at 1:00P.M. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, WV, with Rev. Lee Williams officiating.
Interment at Beulah Hill Cemetery.
