WORCESTER Julia A. (Delaney) Baldino, 89, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, September 12th in the UMass Memorial Healthcare.
Julia's husband Maurice J. Baldino passed away in 1997. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Aurelia R. "Abby" Baldino, and her granddaughter, Angela Saucier both of Worcester; three sons, Daniel Baldino in California, Francis Baldino of Worcester and John "Jack" Baldino of Shrewsbury; a brother, Kierin Delaney in New Jersey; a sister, Joyce Dawlings of Worcester; fourteen grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family including Anthony A. Merola and Shawn P. Powers. Julia was born in Worcester on August 9, 1918, a daughter of John J. and Mary (Gordon) Delaney and has lived here all her life.
Julia was a seamstress working many years for Paul Hats before retiring. She loved to crochet, knit and do word puzzles.
The funeral will be held Saturday, September 15th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the funeral Saturday morning.
