PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC - Joseph Higgins Flynn age 89, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Lakes of Litchfield in Murrells Inlet, SC. Mr. Flynn was born in Holyoke, MA a son of the late Simon A. and Elizabeth Fenton Flynn. He did his undergraduate work at Holy Cross College and his graduate studies at Harvard University. He was a retired executive in the International Divisions of the Radio Corporation of America and Pfizer. Mr. Flynn was a navy officer in WWII and served on a mine sweep in the Pacific. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mariette Robert Flynn and a son, Robert Lovett Flynn. Survivors include a sister, Mary Louise O'Brien of Kennebunk Port, ME; Five daughters, Virginia Landblom of Boulder, CO, Suzane Sederbaum of Roanoke, VA, Joane Christen of Boston, Robyn Cote of Albuquerque, and Jennifer Lonergan of Weston, CT. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Pawleys Island Chapel.
