Psalm 48:14 For this God, Our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death.

To live in the hearts of others, is to live forever.

Ecclesiasticus 44:14 Their bodies are buried in peace; but their name liveth for evermore.

The Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen
from the family tree
I keep hearing a voice that says,
"Grieve not for me"
Remember the best times,
the laughter, the song
The good life I lived
while I was strong

Continue my heritage,
I'm counting on you
Keep smiling and surely
the sun will shine through
My mind is at ease,
my soul at rest
Remembering all,
how I truly was blessed

Continue traditions,
no matter how small
Go on with your life,
don't worry about falls
I miss you dearly,
so keep up your chin
Until the days comes
we're together again

God called your name so softly
That only you could hear
And no one heard the footsteps
Of Angels drawing near

The Golden Gates stood open
God saw you needed rest
His garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best

William, Chet as he was known to his family and friends, met and married Annie Drapeau in the fall of 1932 in the Congregational Church in Rochester, New Hampshire. In March of 1933, their only child, a son, Conrad Chester Foss was born.

William served in the Navy in 1942 as a Second Class Machinist Mater and he worked on ships. He served for about 11 years and after leaving remained in the reserves and about a year later he was called back to serve again and spent some time over seas. In 1953 William retired for good from the Navy and that same year, his first grandchild, a girl, was born. During this time, Annie worked in shoe factories.

The couple moved to Idaho in the 70's to be near their son, his wife and their eight grandchildren. William and Annie spent their time fishing, camping and spending time with their family and friends.

Over time William And Anne would have 16 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

In 1977, William died of complications from a gall bladder surgery. Leaving behind his wife Anne, a daughter-in-law and many grandchildren.

To all who visit my loved ones and leave messages as well as little tokens. I appreciate each and every one of you coming here. I struggle to answer back because I have Rheumaoid Arthritis and it's not always so easy to type. I do visit your pages and when I can, I leave something back. Thank you so much for your kindness!
