Raymond D. Hill, 80, of Springfield died at 7:23 p.m. Monday at his residence.
He was born Feb. 8, 1910, in Illinois, the son of Charles and Cora Dardene Hill. Preceding him in death was his wife, Edith, in 1987. Mr. Hill formerly owned and operated the Acme Upholstering Co. He restored some of the original furniture used in the Lincoln Home.
Mr. Hill was a lifetime member and past officer of the Abraham Lincoln Gun Club.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Jacqueline) Mari of Pocatello, Idaho; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Audene D. Graham of Springfield; one niece; and five nephews.
