Highly influencial 20th-century artist/sculptor. Famed for his moving sculptures, or "abstract kinetic" sculptures, the majority of his life's work was in step with new sculpture trends toward abstract simplification. Unlike "minimalists," however, the fascinating movements of Mr. Rickey's sculptures appealed to a wide audience.
