Thomas Carr Clark was born on 18 August 1822 in Arkansas. His parents were Gilbert and Mary Ann Ward Clark.
Carr Clark first married Polly G. White on 26 August 1841. She died in 1842.
Carr Clark then married Elizabeth Barilla Hargrave on 16 October 1843. Theirs is credited as being the first marriage in Hopkins County, Texas. The couple had eight children named Mary Ann Lettie, James Perry, John Luke, Albert Galatin Stewart (Ab), William Wallace, Nancy White, Isabelle Casandra, and Claryman Francis Clark.
Thomas Carr Clark died in March of 1864. He would have been forty-one years of age. He was buried in the McFall Cemetery in Nelta, but no stone has been located for him.
