Mr. Lehmann was born July 28, 1912 in St. Charles, MO, and died Thursday, April 24, 1997 in a Lufkin hospital. Mr. Lehmann was a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in forestry. He was an authority on East Texas forestry and timberland, and made substantial contributions to the timber industry of East Texas. He was a retired forester for Angelina Count Lumber Company and Owens-Illinois, retiring in 1977. He had been a resident of Lufkin since 1942.
Survivors: wife, Odessa Lehmann of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Carlotta and Cecil Hunt Jr., of Lufkin; granddaughter, Jennifer Hunt of Nacogdoches; brother and sister-in-law, Karl T. and Else Lehmann of Milwaukie, OR; sister, Doris Corssman of Milwaukie, OR; and niece, Rosanne Lehmann of Seattle, Wash.
Mr. Lehmann was preceded in death by his grandson, Jud Hunt, in 1990.
