He was born Feb. 27, 1933 in Bayfield, Colo., to Tomas and Agata Tafoya Archuleta.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather who enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, listening to music, being an avid Bronco fan and spending time with his loving family.
His parents; son, Gordon Ray Archuleta; daughters, Denise and Rhonda Kay Archuleta; granddaughter, Lee Ann Almaquer; great-granddaughter Anastasia T. Archuleta; brother, Demetrio Archuleta; and sisters, Louise Lujan and Caroline Kulp, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Lobato of Center; four daughters, Lori Ann Archuleta of Denver; Vivian M. Archuleta, Corrine (Geronimo) Gardea and Valerie K. (Nicolas) Chavez-Garcia, all of Center; two sons, Stanley (Launna) Archuleta of Colorado Springs and Brian Archuleta of Center; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and several cousins.
A Prayer Service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at the Assembly of God Church in Center.
The Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the same church. Burial will follow in the La Garita Assembly of God Cemetery.
Viewing and visitation will be from 5 p.m. to service time Friday at the church in Center.
