Columbia Native John Frederick (Fred) Brown, 75, passed away on a Saturday in a San Leandro hospital.
Mr. Brown was survived by a brother, Charles Brown of Columbia; five sisters: Miss Nellie Brown of San Francisco; Mrs. C. H. Helm of San Francisco; Mrs. J. Clooney of Oakland; Mrs. George Griffin of Sonora; Mrs. Robert Thom of Sonora.
Final rites were held the Monday after his death. Reverend R. C. Stahl officiated at the services from the Burden Chapel. Graveside services were conducted by the Columbia I. O. O. F. and committal waS in the Columbia I. O. O. F. section of Columbia Cemetery.
