Mr. Sam Sugg, 87, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at his residence in Eupora, MS. Visitation was held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home. Funeral services were Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willy Weddle, and Rev. Mike Ramage officiated with interment at North Union Cemetery at Webster Co. Ms.
Mr. Sugg was a retired Postal Supervisor, an Army veteran, and a member of Walthall Baptist Church at Walthall, MS.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Jones Sugg, Eupora, MS; daughter, Laura Sugg Pepper, Batesville, MS; sister, Juanita Sugg Glisson, Collins, MS; and grandson, John Wesley Pepper, Senatobia, MS.
Pallbearers were Joe Hays, Dexter Jones, Jessie Cutrer, Joey Palmer, Gayden Hughes, and Larry Walls. Honorary pallbearers Rufus Marter, Glenn Booth, Billy E. Shaw, Bob Crowell, David Booth, and Odell Blocker.
Arrangements were handled by Oliver Funeral Home, Eupora, MS.
