Mrs. E. Bender, Long Ill, Dies
Mrs. Elizabeth Bender passed away at a local hospital yesterday afternoon following an illness of six months. A native of California, she was 43 years of age. Mrs. Bender was a member of the Flora Rebekah Lodge of Lodi. She leaves her husband, Calvin Bender, and two children, Mrs. Frieda Lansdowne of Lodi, and Eugenia Bender of Acampo. Mrs. Bender was the sister of Charles Walsh of San Diego, and William Walsh of Albion. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the Chapel of the Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Ruben Huenemann of the Zion Reformed Church of Lodi officiating. The Rebekah Lodge of Lodi will be in charge of graveside services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Bender were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Reuben Huenemann of the Zion Reformed Church of Lodi officiating. There was an abundance of colorful floral offerings in the Chapel from the many friends of the deceased. Mrs. Earle Botts sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Crossing The Bar". Pallbearers were Ted Suess, Harry Tolliver, Boyd Mitchell, Harold Pfeifer, Howard Eckles and Robert McLain. Interment followed in Lodi Cemetery with the Flora Rebekah Lodge of Lodi in charge of graveside services.
