GERBER, Lorne David - Passed away suddenly on Thursday October 27, 2005, at Stratford General Hospital. Lorne resided in Stratford and was formerly of Shakespeare. He was born 61 years ago in Kitchener and was the son of the late John and Clara (Bast) Gerber. Beloved husband of Viola (Gerber) Gerber whom he married June 13, 1964. Dear father of Bob and wife Jill Howatt Gerber of RR1, Brunner, Brad and wife Debbie Gerber of Kitchener and Tammy and husband Michael Lynch of St. Thomas. Sadly missed by his grand-children Kristina and Kyle, Brandon and Brianna, Michael and Sarah. Also remembered by brother Earl and wife Margaret Gerber of Cambridge, sister Katherine LeClair of New Hamburg, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and very dear friends Orlin and wife Eileen Yantzi of Stratford and Audrey and husband Paul Schlegel of Tavistock and a number of nieces and nephews. Lorne was a member of Avon Mennonite Church, Stratford and an active member of the Retirees of Budd Automotive and also a charter member of the New Hamburg Optimist Club. Lorne volunteered at Greenwood Court, Stratford and was an avid car lover. Lorne worked at Budd Automotive, Kitchener for 30 years and was presently working at D.H. Jutzi in Stratford. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Saturday from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. and again Sunday 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Lorne's life will take place on Monday, October 31, 2005 at Avon Mennonite Church, Stratford with Pastor Herb Sawatzky officiating.
