Hugh Byron Park was the youngest of the 15 children of Orrin James Park and Sarah Jane Seward Park. He and his wife, Bertha, had three children: Helen Rachel, Donald Henry, and Orrin James. When the children were young, the family moved from Jamison City to Eagles Mere, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania and established Beechwood Dairy.
