ESTHER SOPHIA (ALWIN) RODRIGUEZ: 92, of Fontana, Ca. passed away on February 20, 2011, at Inland Valley Rehabilitation Center, Pomona, Ca. She was born on March 9, 1918 in Clayton, Wisconsin to Annie and Louie Johnson. She graduated from High School in Clayton Wisconsin. She married William F. (Bill) Alwin on January 1, 1938 and they moved to Ontario in 1948, where they raised their three sons. She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill Alwin in 1986, her second husband Antonio Rodriguez in 2001, and her son Robert Alwin in 2009. She is survived by her son William (Barbara) Alwin of Upland, son Charles (Mary) Alwin of San Bernardino, sister Margret Serier in Wisconsin, ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She was a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ontario. At the time of her death she was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fontana. She was a devout Christian and devoted homemaker all her adult life. She touched many lives, and was loved by all who knew her. Viewing will be February 28, 2011 at noon and services will be held at 1:00 pm at Belleview Memorial Cemetery in the Chapel, 1240 W. "G" St. Ontario, with interment following the service.
