Douglas C. Fireshaker, Porter police chief, died after an accidental shooting at his home on Thursday. He was 33.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Porter, and at 3 p.m. at the Atoka Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Atoka. Shipman Funeral Home in Wagoner is handling arrangements. Fireshaker was born in Coalgate. A former Bryan County jailer, he had been chief of police in Porter since 1991. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Fireshaker; daughter, Amanda K. Fireshaker; three sons, Michael Douglas, Justin "Cody" and Clayton Douglas Fireshaker; five sisters, Ruby J. Billy of Atoka, Malinda Phillips of Muskogee, Hazel Folsum of Claremore, Anna James of Muskogee, and Reba Joyce Frazier of Glendale, Ariz.; and three brothers, Richard Folsum of Lawton, Bobby Folsum of Stilwell, and Olan Durant Jr. of
Atoka.
