A 71-year-old woman was
fatally injured when she was hit
by a car as she ran across Del
Amo Blvd. at Locust Ave. Friday
night.
Mrs. Rhonda [sic] E. Rich, 268 E.
Pleasant St. died in Seaside Hos-
pital after she was struck by a
car driven by George Morton
Caskey, 55, of 2913 Fairman St.,
Lakewood.
Officers said she was knocked
82 feet. One of her shoes was
found 100 feet further away.
She became the city's 39th
traffic fatality - the 18th pedes-
train - of the year. Last year's
total at this point was 35.
