Max Lambert
Max Lambert, 72, Columbus, former Middleport resident, died Saturday at his residence.
He retired as a lieutenant in 1963 after 25 years service with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. He then worked for 18 years with the Ohio Department of Liquor Control.
He was a 25 year member of the Scioto Masonic Lodge 006, Chillicothe; Chillicother Commandery No. 8, Aladdin Shrine; a member of Provost Unit Aladdin Shrine, Northeast Shrine Club; a member of the Ohio State Patrol Retirees Association, a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Mills of Middleport; sons and daughters-in-law, Max R. and Joan of Ledyard, Conn., Joe A. and Fran of Columbus; and grandchildren, Eric and Kristen of Ledyard, Conn.; a sister, Gladys Walburn; and a brother, Glen Lambert, both of Middleport.
Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St., Westerville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery at Cheshire. The Rev. Howard C. Dhonau will officiate.
In lieu of flowers friends may, if they wish, contribute to the American Cancer Society.
