She was born on may 4, 1927 in Macomb to Samuel and Blanche Jennings Hendrickson. She married Jack Lansdown in 1946. He passed away in 1975. She then married Randall Ausbury in 1978. He passed away in 1991.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jeanette Purdum.
She is survived by one sister, Kathryn Riley of Stronghurst; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She lived most of her life in the Macomb area. She was an office manager at Western Illinois University for many years before retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb and enjoyed singing with Singing Seniors. She was also the secretary for the Palmetto Mobile Home Park in Palmetto, Florida for many years where she spent her winters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Dr. Kathryn Stoner-Lasala officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to either the Elms Nursing Home or First Presbyterian Church.
