She married Samuel Bennington Henry Jones on January 23, 1816 in Fleming County, Kentucky. They had nine children, John, Matilda, Rachel, Lucinda, Fannie, Margaret, Samuel Henry, William, and Sarah Bennington, four died in 1842 of scarlet fever (Matilda, Rachel, Lucinda, and Fannie. John died in 1837 at the age of 20, he never married, and Margaret died in 1848, never married. She died February 3, 1841 in Fleming County, Kentucky. It is believed that Aabigail Hester Jones was buried in Brick Union Cemetery in Fleming County, Kentucky, as records show four of her daughters were buried there in 1842, following their deaths of scarlet fever. Abigail's sister Margaret Hester Hillis is quoted as saying the following of her brother-in-law, Samuel Bennington Henry Jones, "She said her older sister has married a Jones and he was the laziest person and his wife worked herself to death doing work he should have done."
