He was preceded in death by a daughter Gillie on Sept. 30,1940 and his wife Willie Lee Erwin.
Survivors include; three sons, Elbert Roosevelt , John Henry both of Waco and James of Ft. Worth; three daughters, Mrs. Willie Lee Nichols of Ross, Mrs. Minnie Belle Crabb, and Mrs. Clara Grier both of West; three brothers, Oscar R. Erwin of Bellmead, John Erwin of Long Beach Calf., and Albert Erwin of Grand Pass OR., two sisters Mrs. Lizzy Ashby of Waco, and Mrs. Sally Smith of Smithville TX, twenty two grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
