Chico Enterprise-Recrod, Chico, CA. Ralph N. Carr passed away on Friday, August 21, 2009 at his home in Chico, CA at the age of 65 and after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Oakdale, CA on June 23, 1944. He moved to Durham, CA with his parents in 1948.

Upon graduation from Durham High School in 1962, Ralph and Bobbie Carr were married. Ralph's work history included Manager of Burton's Shoe Store in downtown Chico, CA for fourteen years; Quality Controller for Mathews Conveyor Company until their closure in March 1988 and Inventory Purchasing Manager at Aero Union until he retired in 2000.

Ralph is survived by his wife Bobbie of 47 years; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Jody Carr; daughter, Marci Neves; grandchildren Brandon, Jameson and Adam Carr of St. Louis, MO, Karisa and Mackenzie Neves of Chico; brother-in-law, Royal Rickett of Oaksdale, WA; brother-in-law, Jack Brown and wife Linda and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Bessie Carr and his sister, Rosemary Rickett.

Ralph enjoyed water skiing, camping and sports clay shooting. He also enjoyed picking up his granddaughters at school and spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Viewing will be at Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway, Chico, CA from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2009.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Chico Cemetery, 881 Mangrove Ave.,Chico, CA on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
