She was born Oct. 28, 1931, in St. Marys, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Margaret Sheppard Grogan. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School.
Judy is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Daniel B. VanClief; three sons, Steven M. (Mary Ann) VanClief of Burning Springs, W.Va., John A. (Cheryl) VanClief of Colorado and Daniel R. VanClief of State College, Pa.; one sister, Shirley (Joe) Braham; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Linda VanClief; brother-in-law, Harry VanClief; two grandsons, Jason M. VanClief of Parkersburg and Justin VanClief of Colorado; adopted grandchildren, William (Kayla) Polk of Elizabeth, Lorrie, April and Michael VanClief of Burning Springs; one great-granddaughter, Adison Polk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Morris and Edna Lloyd; one sister-in-law, Louise VanClief.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Rev. Delmas Stutler officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 2:00–4:00 and 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
