KNOX CITY -- Barbara Snelson Wright Brock Jones passed from this life on Thursday, April 29, 2004 in Anson, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Knox City Cemetery with Rev. Bobby King and Rev. John Gillispie officiating. Services are under the direction of Mansell-Smith Funeral Home.
Barbara was born in Knox City on October 25, 1922, daughter of Ben and Belle (Whitten) Snelson. She was a nurse at the Knox County Hospital and Brazos Valley Nursing Home for 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Knox City for 41 years.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Marvin Jones Jr. of Knox City; three sons, Ben Wright and wife Mary of Mimbres, New Mexico, Wesley Wright of Arlington, and Carl Brock and wife Martha of Anson; sister, Bonnie Tankersley of Knox City; grandchildren, Robert Wright and wife Susan of Independence, KS, Holly Wright of Arlington, Johnny Brock and wife Neomi of Olton, TX, Michele Brock Haynes and Jay of Anson, and Brian Chinn of Los Angeles; great-grandchildren, Cory and Curtis Wright of Independence, KS, Cara, Casen and Jared Haynes of Anson, and Hannahlynn Brock of Olton.
