Ezekiel Field Clay, Jr. was the Son of Ezekiel Field Clay & Mary Letitia Woodford the daughter of John Thornton Woodford by his wife Elizabeth Hawes Buckner and 2nd Great-Granddaughter of General William Woodford of England who married Mary Thornton dau. of John Thornton & Mildred Gregory, Ezekiel Clay was born 16 June 1871 in Kentucky and married 14 Sep 1904 as His 2nd wife his 5th cousin Anne Lee Washington daughter of George Washington by his wife Jane Todd Ramsey, and 3rd Great-Granddaughter of Colonel Samuel Washington of Harewood(Jefferson County) Virginia now West Virginia. Colonel Samuel Washington was a full brother to our 1st President of the United States of America Pres. George Washington
