FARMINGTON — Audrey Elaine Stimson, 82, of Jay, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 15, at the Sandy River Nursing Care Center after a seven year journey with Dementia.

She was born on May 10, 1928, in Hebron, the eldest of four children to Aubrey T. and Leona (Latham) Spiller. She graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1946.

In August 1946, she married Reginald E. Cook and they raised their two children on the family farm in Livermore until divorcing in 1966.

She remarried twice more to Dorilas Dubreuill and then to John Stimson. Both predeceased her.

Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included photography, as she was seldom without her camera, designing stationary and cards that she shared with her family and more than 100 of her pen-pals from across the U.S. and around the world. She also had a large collection of bone china cups and saucers and could tell from whom and where each one came to her.

She is survived by her son, Byron Cook and his wife, Cyndy, of Livermore; a daughter, Brenda Peary and her husband, Robert, of New Sharon; grandchildren, Shaune Cook-Parker of Buxton, Travis Cook and his partner, Sue Fisher, of Jay, Kristin Cook-Center and her husband, Harry, of Freeport, Ryan Peary and his wife, Kerith, of Gray and Heather Albert and her husband, Andre, of Gray; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Kayla Bibeau, Haley and Logan Cook, Evan Dorler, Alexandra and Matthew Peary and Austin Albert; a sister, Mira Howes and her husband, Kenneth, of Jay; sisters-in-law, Janice Spiller of Strong and Marion Spiller of Westbrook; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Rodney and Rudolph Spiller; and a granddaughter, Randi Leigh Peary.
