She was nominated for a supporting actress Oscar for her role opposite Spencer Tracy in the 1954 western "Broken Lance" as 'Senora Devereaux.' Married to Victor Velasquez, they divorced, they had two children. Married to Actor Ernest Borgnine in 1959 and divorced in 1964. Other film roles indlude "Under the Volcano" (1984), "The Children of Sanchez" (1978), and "Barabbas" (1962).
