Hold Services For J. A. Daniel
KERENS, Nov. 8 (Spl.)—Funeral services for J. A. (Jere) Daniel, 68, Kerens rancher-farmer, who died in the Navarro Clinic Thursday, were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Inmon Funeral Chapel with burial in the Kerens cemetery.
The rites were conducted by Rev. Harry Wilbanks, pastor, of the Presbyterian church.
Daniel was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Daniel, pioneer citizens of this community. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Daniel, Kerens; a son, J. A. Daniel, Jr., Corpus Christi; a daughter, Mrs. A. G. Woska, Oklahoma City; a brother, Joe M. Daniel and two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Beck and Mrs. Dale Owen, all of Kerens; two grandchildren, Mollie Woska, and Daniel Woska, both of Oklahoma City, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dock Fields, Dwain Crawford, Alvin Inmon, Bill Kemp, M. J. Crawford, Kenneth Sessions, Will Sidney Price, Wilbur Black, Dr. H. W. Hoffer, Herman Hall, Earl Seale, Guy Dobbs, R. P. Walker and Vernon Bruner.

Jere was the son of Theophilus Smith Daniel and Lelia Martin Wisener Daniel.
He married Ruth Gertrude Tinkle on 28 December 1948 in Corsicana, Navarro County, Texas.
He and Ruth had two children:
Jeremiah Augustus Daniel, Jr.: 1920-1984; and
Mary Jane Daniel (Woska): 1926-2008
