As per WV Certificate of Death: Henry Butler Stickles died 12 Aug 1942 at the age of 69, 4 mo., 1 day in Kearneysville, WV. Cause of death was cornonary thrombosis due to cornary sclerosis. His wife at the time of his death was Lula Rebecca (Powell) Stickels, age 55, who was his second wife; Henry was interred in Elmwood Cemetery on 16 Aug 1942. (NOTE: last name is spelled on Certificate of Death and Death Record 'consistently wrong'-- being shown as STICKELS. The probably cause for same was that the second wife (Ms. Lula) was the 'Informant' and source for most all information on these two forms. Henry's father and mother were John/Jonathan A. (b: 1850; d: 31 Mar 1893) and Virginia B. (Kennan) Stickel (b: 1854; d:13 Feb 1886), and both were born in Clarke Co., VA.

Henry was working in 1930 for the WV State Road Commission. His first wife was Mary "Katie" Rawsburg Stickels, b: 1873; died circa 1929/1930; from this marriage came two children: Earnest Gustave Stickel and Mary Katharyne Stickel. NOTE: It is not know if Katie or Lula are buried with Henry in Elmwood Cemetery--although Ms. Lula Certificate of Death list that she was buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
