Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Yankie was born Sept. 4, 1934, in McLennan County. He graduated from Midway High School in 1951, and attended Baylor University.
Jimmy worked for Bird-Kultgen, Inc. several years and later worked for Kendrick Tire Co. Inc. He opened Jimmy Yankie A-1 Alignment and Tire Company in 1974.
Jimmy was a member of Hewitt First Baptist Church, Waco Chamber of Commerce, Baylor Bear Club and the Better Business Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Yankie; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Leo A. Yankie; son, Robert W. (Bobby) Yankie, of Waco; first wife and Bobby's Mother, Johnny Ann Attaway Woodruff, stepchildren Cathy Sue Anderson of Waco and Michael D. Tyler of China Spring; and two grandchildren.
