W.V. "Dub" Markham, 79, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away Saturday August 5, 2006 at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Markham was the son of the late Victor Hugo and Myrtice Douberly Markham. He was preceded in death by his son Scott Kimble Markham. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the army. He was employed with Rountree-Moore Ford as a car salesman for 30 years. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Martha Jean Markham, daughter Cheryl Sue (Frank) Willis, two sons Robert Victor (Jacqueline) Markham, and Ronald Eugene (Jennifer) Markham. Four grandchildren, Richard Willis, Troy Markham, Randall Markham and Wesley Markham. Four Great Grandchildren, Scott Willis, Blayne Markham, Haidyn Markham, Marina Markham. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Markham will be held Wednesday August 9, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bethel Cemetery with Rev. LEon McElhaney, officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, Guerry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
