Violet Pearl "Vi" Penzenstadler, 94, of Oshkosh, died Monday December 11, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born September 3, 1912 in Boaz, WI a daughter of Omer and Bernice Starkey Ewing and to this union were born 13 children. On August 12, 1935 she married William Penzenstadler in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1969.
She worked various places and retired from S.N.C. Manufacturing. Violet was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Aquinas Club. She was a member of the Senior Center, where she volunteered at the Cameo Shop. Violet enjoyed dancing and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and being a foster grandparent.
She is survived by one son Roger(Virginia) Penzenstadler, one daughter Linda Penzenstadler all of Oshkosh, seven grandchildren Sue(Karl) Turner, Barbara(Harold) Paalman, Cheryl(Rick) Mueller, Beth(Khrist) Caramanidis, Peter(Belle) Penzenstadler, Brian Konkel, Jeff Konkel, 14 great-grandchildren, two sisters Eileen Olson, Beverly Akins, two brothers Lindy Ewing, and George Ewing.
She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters and a granddaughter Jennifer.
A memorial Mass will be held on December 15, 2006 at 11:00 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Kollath officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
