BONHAM - Billy Ray "Rusty" Atkins, 75, loving husband, father, papaw, and friend passed away March 4, 2011. He was born on Nov. 17, 1935, to Jerry Paul and Ivy May (Presley) Atkins in Anna.
He is survived by his wife Verna Atkins, son Mark Atkins, three daughters- Darlene Howdeshell, Sheila Madole, and Jennifer Pate, and his brother James Paul Atkins. Rusty had seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He loved them all with all his heart, and they loved him.
Family night will be from 6 -8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina. Officiating the services will be Bobby Baker.
