Claire Elaine Gowen, age 81, died on December 26, 2009 in the home of her daughter, Patricia Dolan, at North Attleboro.
She was the beloved wife of the late Elmer
F. Gowen.
A North Attleboro resident since 2002, she had formerly resided at Wrentham and Norfolk.
She was educated in Woburn public schools.
Claire enjoyed life, and particularly liked
time spent with family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She possessed an independent spirit and always was one who could speak up for herself. She enjoyed holidays and enjoyed decorating her home and yard to go along with the holiday theme.
Claire cared for others and showed her caring nature working in long-term care settings at the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham; the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro; and the Wrentham Developmental Center at Wrentham.
Interment in Wrentham Centre Cemetery.
