She graduated from Juniata College in Huntington in 1936 with a bachelor's degree in home economics. She was a home economics teacher at Wesleyville High School before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph T. Jeffery (d 5/27/1993 age 87); and a brother, John Franklin Cox (died at age 10).
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Bush and her husband, Darryl, of Lawrence Park; two sons, David T. Jeffery and his wife, Kim, of Girard and Robert J. Jeffery and his wife, Kathy, of North East; two sisters, Helen Sholomskas of Erie (d 5/2011 age 93) and Edna Fishback and her husband, Horace, of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be private at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
