Son of Joseph Turner Pullig and his second wife, Lucretia Ann Jane Phillips of Columbia County, Arkansas. Charlie's father died in 1890 and about two years later, Charlie's mother moved her family to Stephens County, Texas.

Charlie, his brother Benjamin, and his mother moved to Knox County 1905-1910. He farmer for several years, but later worked for the Watkins Company for many years. The "Watkins man" sold coffee, tea, spices, etc. mostly to the rural areas using a horse and wagon.

Charlie married Lillie Patterson Conway in Comanche County, Texas on 22 Sep 1902 (top photo). They had one child, Rosa Velma Pullig (bottom photo), born in 1907. Lillie (Conway) Pullig died 4 Jul 1936.

Charlie married second (circa 1945), Alice Barbara (Keys) Lackey, the widow of Rev. Louis P. Lackey who died in 1942. "Aunt Alice" died in Knox City on 2 Aug 1964.
