Hamlin - Robert Archie Cary, Jr., 75, died Friday, May 6, 2005, in Hamlin.
Born February 17, 1930, in Hamlin, Robert was the son of the late Robert Archie, Sr. and Hassie Waggoner Cary.
He graduated from Hamlin High School, and served four years in the U. S. Navy.
Robert retired from the U. S. Postal Service, serving patrons in Hamlin and Abilene.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and served several years as a director and teacher in the youth departments. Robert also served as past sponsor for the youth summer programs.
One brother Charles Cary and one sister Sharon Cary preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Deborah Denise and Raymond Jordan of Baytown; one granddaughter Candace Denae Jordan of Baytown; one grandson Cameron Garrett Jordan of Baytown; 3 brothers - Kenneth Cary and wife Tempie of Breckenridge, Danny Cary and wife Shirley of Wichita Falls, and Jeff Cary and wife Sheila of San Angelo; and several nieces and nephews.
