Marian Lucy Armitage, age 76, passed away on February 6, 2011 at her home. She resided at 4390 West 4985 South in the Hoffman Heights neighborhood of Kearns, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born May 29, 1934 in Beaver, Utah to Elmer T. Hillis and Nellie Rappleye Hillis. She attended Jordan High School.

She married Jack Raymond Armitage on July 4, 1954 in Albquerque, New Mexico and sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Mom loved to read, she never went anywhere without her book. She loved to sew cross stitch pictures. Marian loved to grow flowers and remodel her home even up to her death.

She worked at First Security Bank in the Collection Department from 1976 to 1996 when she retired and became a snow bunny with her spouse living in Hurricane, Utah in the winters and Murray, Utah in the summer.

She loved to go shopping with her daughters and eating out daily if she could. She loved to take car rides and see the countryside. We will miss her greatly.

Survived by her children: Robin Taylor, Danni Morgan, Holly Moss, Carolyne Hover, Larry Armitage, Mick Armitage, Warren Armitage, and Neal Armitage, brother: Don Hillis, eighteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband: Jack Armitage, son: Dennis Eugene Armitage, and brother: Jack Hillis.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home (4335 West 4100 South), with a viewing one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
