Born in Prussia. In 1862 Prussia was divided into Germany and Poland. Would be nice if FAG would include Prussia in their country section.

Wilhelmina Christina (Zimmerman) Gransee, in this county dies at rural home. Mrs Gransee expires in Rosendale; native of Germany. Mrs Gransee, 80, wife of Wilhelm Gransee, died Tuesday night, January 20, 1942 at her home in the Village of Rosendale, Wisconsin.

Born August 18, 1861 in Zuehlsdorf, Landkreis Oberhavel, Brandenburg, Germany. The daughter of John and Henrietta Zimmerman. Mrs Gransee was married in Germany to Mr Gransee. Coming to America in 1881. Mr. and Mrs. Gransee settled in Princeton and after four and one-half years residence there moved to Rosendale, where Mr. Gransee operated a blacksmith shop.

Mrs Gransee a member of Rosendale Lutheran church, Mrs. Gransee was affliated with its Ladies Aid.

Surviving are her widower; four sons, Amos Gransee of Ripon, William and Walter Gransee of Fond du Lac and Arthur Gransee of Mendota; six daughters, Mrs Gustav Siebenhaar of El Dorado, Mrs Charles Ferch of Ripon, Mrs Otto Mecklenberger, Mrs Almond Farr and Mrs Arthur Barts of Fond du Lac and Mrs Dan Rees of Rosendale; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A son, Leo died in 1903 and a daughter, Mrs Charles Hansen died in 1941.
